Jonathan’s blog is a blog about the state of the music industry

well, its 4 am on a monday

i fell asleep on my chair infornt of my pc, again, and just woke up. its 4am. so i check my myspace, as you do.ive got an email form Pennywise - an oldschool punk band that i used to listen to when i was at school like 12 years ago. they are tellin me that i can download their new album ‘reason to believe’ for free. its downloading right now, 19.6 of 111.4 meg at 85.1KB/sec 18:41 left so its not that fast, but i bet there are a good few hundred thousand people downloading it - they are gonna have some bandwidth bill !!
itd have been easier, and better if they had offered a torrent too. but thats a matter for another day

once ive listened to it the first time ill write a new review

then once ive listened to it for a week ill write another.

ive just checked their myspace page and they have had 150k plays today, not bad!

i hope its half as good as ‘full circle’ and i hope they do a uk tour again so i can see them, again

=)

oh, ive just started listenin to the first track. its been autotuned. but it doent sound that bad. even on a shitty myspace feed.

http://www.myspace.com/pennywise

you can download it too =)

  1. Oh man, Pennywise. That name takes me back. We played with them at the House of Blues in Chicago in 2001 with Goldfinger. At least I think it was 2001.

    Good times haha
