first and foremost, i use google a lot. i have my iphone set to sync all my contacts and calendars with google calendar and contacts

you can also sync the notes from notes.app with your gmail account

evernote is an excellent way to take notes and have them synced across devices

teamviewer is an excellent app that allows you to log in to any windows linux or mac

basecamp is an excellent tool for project management, and you can sync your basecamp calendar to your iphone calendar too

what you have to do is:

scroll to the very first message from that contact.
you will see an ‘add to contacts’ button.
you can then add the number to a new or existing contact!

optn the terminal and type:

defaults write com.apple.LaunchServices LSQuarantine -bool false

1) make sure your iphone or ipad is setup to get your google mail using exchange

2) goto m.google.com/sync in safari on your iphone or ipad
3) click on your device in the list on that page
4) tick ‘enable delete email as trash for this device’
5) click save

you are now done :D
mails that you delete on your ipad or iphone will now be deleted from gmail, rather than archived!

now, rather than being just a wrapper to the mobile web version, it a native iphone app.

it looks really good, and isnt slow any more!!

this post will show you how to setup and test the new author tag so that google can (at their discretion) show a picture of you next to your site in the serps!

firstly, you need to setup your site.

you need the syntax for the author tag:

that is my author tag. it goes on every page that I have published.

on my about page, i have the following code

you need to have your google plus account as the url, and you need the ?rel=author at the end.

once you have your site setup then you need to edit your google plus acocunt.

go to your google plus account,
click on ‘profile’
click on ‘edit’

add a link to your website to the ‘contributor to’ box in your profile.

save your profile, and then go here to check it all works.

firstly, open a shell.

then, type

sudo apt-get install tasksel

once you have installed tasksel then you can

sudo tasksel install lamp-server

this will download and install mysql, apache and php for you :)

to move apps around, tap and hold on an apps icon. all the icons will start to wiggle. once they are wiggling you can delete apps by tapping the x. you can also move the apps by dragging them.

if you drag one icon onto another then you can create a folder :)
