its a remix of janes addiction’s irresistible force by a friend of mine.
if it gets enough votes then it may be an official release on emi :D

Drawing on influences including Ministry, NIN and other more experimental electronic artists, he has captured the euphoric quality of the original Jane’s Addiction track and expanded it to reach the dancefloor at peak time.

The track begins with dubbed-out sounds and a delay heavy rhythm, building towards an uplifting drum n’ bass workout with industrial overtones and a sense of urgency. Perry Farrell’s voice cuts through the remix in the same way that it drives the original, with soaring guitar parts from Dave Navarro adding to the organic quality of the Voltergeist version.

An emotionally charged remix filled with energy and direction, at a fast pace as true to the floor of the new rock scene as much as Jane’s Addiction will always be.

mumford and sons o2 academy, glasgow. oct 2010

Last night my girl and I were invited along to mumford and sons by a really nice couple we know. they managed to get us in for free too, which was excellent!
the gig itself was fantastic. truly the best audience ive seen in a long time. maybe even better than the audience for rage against the machine at titp.
everyone was jigging about and singing at the top of their voices.
the floor was due for breaking. my phone ran out of power after the very first song. its still dead now. ill put up some video once i get power into my phone so that you can hear the crowd!

im sitting right now participating in a video shoot for a local band called rose parade. when i say participating i really mean watching. and singing ‘da da da da’ when needed :) it has made me realise that there is a decent community in ayr. its not all musicians; everyone here is a musician in their own right, but we arent all here in that capacity. Campbell is here in the capacity of ‘camera guy’ jamie is here in the capacity that only he can provide; he is also the journalist for his new column in the local paper. rose parade are here to provide the tunes. the rest of us are to proved the massed chorus chants.

i hope that this community continues to grow because it has came from nothing. it has a long way to go; but it will get there.

my wee cus won an award. its called the australian music award. I guess its on a par with the mercury award over here. w0ot! now all i need to do is to produce her next album ;)

lisa mitchell gig at king tuts, glasgow 6 march 2010

my wee cousin, lisa mitchell played king tuts in glasgow last night. it was an awesome gig. the crowd were right up for it! I met her on friday night in glasgow, went for a few beers and some food, then headed to king tuts to see the bands that were on. it was a decent night, then on saturday she was playing, i went with my mum and dad (her auntie and uncle) and my mate jamie (who im recording with just now) we went for a chinese meal, and bumped into a girl I work with, then headed along to king tuts. my dad and jamie ended up very drunk, but it was cool, my mum was driving home, so they only had to walk from the door of king tuts to the car on the other side of the street!!!

my wee cousin lisa mitchell is touring the uk to promote her new album (which just went gold in australia!!) she is doing a lot of gigs – just now she is touring with newton faulkner =)

once she is done with that she is doing her own tour
