Enable ipad1 multitouch gestures and display mirroring

This one is excellent.
in ios5 apple decided to remove the multitouch gestures from the ipad1.
they are still there, just turned off in a setting that you cant get to :(

multitouch gestures make the ipad much better to use.
display mirroring means that I can use it to play games on my tv (and to watch the bbc iplayer too) though it isnt airplay mirroring. it is the cabled version.

here is how to enable the multitouch gestures and the display mirroring on your ipad1.

1) download a modified redsn0w that supports gestures for ipad 1 (we will NOT be jailbreaking. we only use this to enable the hidden settings.)
check here to see what it does
2) run it.
3) pick the ‘jailbreak’ option. again, it doesnt jailbreak your device, see #1 for more info
4) after you enter dfu mode redsnow will restart your device and will present you with 3 options
5) untick ‘install cydia’ and tick ‘multitouch gestures’
6)once your ipad restarts head to settings > general and enable multi touch!
