Riverside Museum

We went to the Riverside Museum today.

We can see it from the window, but we dont manage to get along as much as we should, so we decided to go today. We got up early and had a big breakfast – fresh strawberries, apples and bananas on top of our cereal with toast and honey, a cup of tea, a cup of milk and a coffee.

After breakfast, we got ready, made a picnic (Olivia calls it a pic-pic), packed our bags, put our shades on and headed outside (its 24 degrees in Glasgow)

The Riverside Museum was excellent – they had added a couple of new things since the last time. There are now 2 subway stations :)

There are lots of things for kids to play in / with – cars, fire engines, a fire-ladder that rotates while you try to put out flames (and a ton of other things)

There are tiny trains, and massive trains too (one that has a lift to get up to the cab!)

We stayed in the Riverside Museum for nearly 2 hours, and then walked down towards the SECC – we picked a spot of grass across from the new clydeside distillery for a picnic

After our oicnic we headed down by the river, along past the SECC to Big Licks IceCream shop!

We jumped on the train from Exhibition Centre to Partick and walked home to end the day!
