Coolfire Plus and Aspire Cleito

Moving from the Kanger Subox Mini to the Innokin Coolfire Plus with an Aspire Cleito tank represented a meaningful step up in vaping hardware โ€” from a capable starter kit to a more serious regulated mod paired with one of the better sub-ohm tanks of the era. The Coolfire Plus was Innokin’s flagship mod at the time, running up to 70W with a built-in 3300mAh battery and the kind of build quality that justified the higher price point over the Subox.

The Aspire Cleito

The Cleito was notable for its coil design โ€” the coil sat inside the tank with the e-liquid flowing directly to it through a wider bore chimney, rather than the coil being wicked from a separate tank section. This reduced gurgling, improved flavour, and made the tank significantly easier to fill and maintain. The 0.4 ohm mesh-style coil head at 65-75W produced excellent flavour and vapour, and the tank’s capacity of 3.5ml was adequate for a day’s use. It quickly developed a reputation as one of the best tanks available at its price point.

Verdict

The Coolfire Plus and Cleito combination was a significant upgrade from the Subox Mini โ€” more power, better build quality, and considerably better flavour from the Cleito’s coil design. The Innokin mod’s ergonomics were excellent and the battery life with the built-in 3300mAh cell was very good for the wattage. An excellent mid-range vaping setup from a period when the technology was maturing rapidly.
