Today we are walking from Dumbarton to Partick. Roughly 12 miles.
We got the train from Partick out to Dumbarton East train station, then walked the short distance to the castle.
We then walked along Glasgow road and popped in to the Dumbuck house hotel for a beer because it was roasting!
we then found the path along to the Fourth and Clyde canal at bowling (where I noticed a bike shop at the harbor type thing) and followed it, under the Erskine bridge to Clydebank.
After a quick (loooooong) look for a coffee shop and a toilet, we found a costa and zoe had a pot of tea and I had a caramel latte.
after our wee rest we stomped back along the old railway by the Clyde all the way to Partick.
we are now in velvet Elvis having a weiss bier and an Elvis burger (or a white wine and Perth-shire baby lamb with mini potatoes and spring onion).
There is a nice set of photos here
