At 40% ABV, the nose opens with Glenfiddich’s hallmark fresh pear and orchard fruit, now enriched by vanilla, toffee, and a hint of dried fruit from the sherry cask influence. On the palate it’s full and satisfying — apple and pear remain central, joined by red berry fruit from the wine cask finish, warm spice, and a creamy sweetness. The red wine cask influence adds a subtle tannic structure and a hint of grape that gives the whisky an interesting complexity. The finish is medium-long, rounded, and gently warming.
