Jim Beam is the world’s best-selling bourbon whiskey and arguably the most recognisable name in American whiskey. Produced in Clermont, Kentucky, Jim Beam White Label has been the go-to entry-point bourbon for generations of drinkers — and for good reason. It’s consistent, affordable, and genuinely enjoyable.
At 40% ABV, Jim Beam White Label is aged for four years in new charred American oak barrels, which gives it that characteristic bourbon sweetness. The nose leads with vanilla, caramel, and a hint of oak. On the palate it’s light and approachable — sweet corn and vanilla upfront, a touch of oak and baking spice in the mid-palate, and a clean, relatively short finish. It’s not the most complex bourbon out there, but it’s not trying to be.
Where Jim Beam really excels is as a mixing whiskey. It’s the backbone of a classic bourbon and Coke, a proper Whiskey Sour, or a simple Jim and ginger. Neat or on the rocks it holds its own too — especially if you prefer a lighter, sweeter bourbon style. A staple spirit that belongs in every home bar.
