Rekorderlig mango-raspberry cider

Rekorderlig’s mango-raspberry combination is one of their most successful flavour pairings โ€” taking two fruits that work brilliantly together and building a cider around them that’s unapologetically sweet and tropical. The Swedish cider brand has built its UK market share on exactly this kind of colourful, fruit-forward offering, and the mango-raspberry variant is a strong argument for why it’s worked so well. It looks great in the glass and tastes exactly as vibrant as it looks.

Tasting Notes

It pours a gorgeous deep pink-rose colour with light carbonation โ€” visually one of the more striking drinks you’ll put on a table. The nose is immediately fruity: mango leads with its tropical sweetness, and the raspberry adds a tart, berry edge underneath. On the palate it’s sweet and refreshing, with both fruits clearly present โ€” the mango giving body and sweetness, the raspberry providing a pleasing tartness that stops it becoming cloying. The finish is clean and light.

Verdict

Serve over plenty of ice in a tall glass with a slice of mango or a few raspberries if you’re making the effort โ€” it deserves the presentation. This is a drink for warm days and good company rather than serious beer contemplation, and it’s excellent at being exactly that. If you enjoy fruit ciders and haven’t tried this one, it’s among the better examples of the style going.
