Altcoin Exchanges and apps

Tracking cryptocoin price changes can become difficult when you have more than a couple of coins. Fortunately there are a few altcoin exchanges and apps out there which can help you. I’ll do a breakdown of some of the apps I use.

Blockfolio

Blockfolio has a ton of data available, they track hundreds of coins, you can add data about your individual transactions (manually!) selecting the exchange you purchased from, and the price you purchased at. You can have multiple transactions per coin. The interesting part in Blockfoilio is the “Holding” section – in here you will see how much profit or loss you have across each transaction and a total profit / loss for each coin! There is also a section that will show you the value of your entire portfoilio in a nice graph.

Coinbase

Coinbase is one of the best known apps for buying bitcoin. It has a very nice, modern interface, simple controls and (once you are verified) makes it (too?) easy to buy Bitcoins, Litecoins and Etherium using various fiat currencies.
