After playing with my google home mini for a few days I decided I needed a chromecast (I have appletv, roku boxes, and an old android tv box, but none work woth the google home.

after plugging the chromecast in to the tv, its detected in the google home app.
at first it needed an update, but after that installed it was ready!
It doesnt do everything, but most streaming apps can be launched from my phone / tablets and youtube/all4/netflix have voice control.
it will stop us looking for a million remotes and plugging / unplugging cables when we need to cast to the screen (roku box has casting but only works with youtube and nowtv. chromecast does all the uk catchup apps)
