As you probably know, I use reeder on my iphone (and on my mac) to fetch all my rss feeds that I recently moved to feedly from google reeder.

the fetching of posts has always been a bit slow for me when im trying to get the latest news right before I jump on the tube (where im writing this post)

I saw in my feed a few days ago that someone was saying to change a setting to make reeder load new posts faster.

the setting is:

reeder > settings > click on account > turn off image caching

if you think about it, it makes perfect sense: dont download big images when im on a mobile data connection.
