Edenmill whisky

Edenmill Whisky holds a special place in the story of Scottish distilling — it is the first single malt whisky to be distilled in St Andrews since the town’s historic distillery closed centuries ago. Edenmill, located just outside St Andrews in Guardbridge, Fife, became Scotland’s first combined brewery and distillery since 1870 when it opened its distillery in 2012, and producing their own single malt Scotch has been central to their ambitions from the start.

Because Edenmill is a young distillery, their whisky expressions are still relatively young — but that makes them no less interesting. The new make spirit and early releases show a characterful, fruity, and malt-forward style that reflects the copper pot still distillation and careful cask selection. Expect flavours of fresh fruit, vanilla, gentle floral notes, and a lightness of touch that speaks to a thoughtfully produced spirit. The distillery’s brewing heritage means they have a deep understanding of fermentation, which is foundational to great whisky making.
