I hate autocorrect. this shows you how to turn off autocorrect in osx!
Its one of the first things I do when I install new versions of osx (I do a wipe before I install new versions, e.g. from lion to mountain lion, or from Yosemite to el-capitan)
- open system preferences
- go to language and text
- click ‘text’
- untick ‘Correct spelling automatically’
