This will show you how to enable internet connection sharing on osx.
- system preferences > sharing
- tick the ‘internet sharing’ check box
- pick the connection that you want to share and where you want to share it
- the next step is to create an adhoc network
- click on the wifi icon in the status bar
- click on create network
- pick some security and enter a passphrase
