This will show you how to use itunes home sharing to view and play your entire itunes library from your mac or pc on your ipad or iphone
- in your mac or pc turn on ‘home sharing’
- itunes > preferences > sharing
- turn on ‘share my itunes library on my local network’
- in your ipad or iphone, go to
- settings > music
- enter your home sharing credentials
when you now open the music app on your ipad or iphone and goto ‘more’ you will see a ‘sharing’ option
when you select that option you can pick your shared music library and browse / play all the media (videos, music, podcasts, audiobooks, etc) that lives on your pc / mac on your ipad without syncing it!
