This short blog will show you the ways to activate launchpad osx lion. Launchpad was introduced in osx as a way to launch applications similar to the way you launch apps on an ipad or iphone. Launchpad displays apps from your mac in a grid and is configurable. Launchpad shows apps in alphabetical order, but you can re-arrange the apps in any order you like. You can also arrange apps into folders by dragging and dropping an app icon on top of another app icon, the same way you do on an iphone or an ipad. Launchpad also has a search box at the top so that you can search for an app by name (though you would probably be best just using spotlight to search this way)
Activate launchpad osx with an icon
- click the launchpad icon in the dock
activate launchpad using the launchpad gesture:
- place three fingers and your thumb on the multitouch pad and ‘pinch’ with them all [like picking something up]
to deactivate launchpad:
- do the opposite gesture [three fingers and a thumb going away from each other] or click an icon
You can two finger swipe to the right and left to get different pages of apps…
