how to resize a batch of images using preview on osx

this wasnt going to be a post, but I needed to resize a bunch of images on my mac, and figured this out, so I thought id share it…

• open preview
• goto preferences
• tick ‘open all files in the same window’
• drag the folder with your images into preview
• select them all (click in sidebar, cmd+A)
• goto tools -> adjust size
• type in the new size
• goto file -> save all

it will now save all the files over the originals, so watch out if you need to keep the originals, make a copy folder first.

now I can go and resize all the images for my site so they arent so huge =)
