Flash player on my mac makes it run hot. purely because it uses 100% cpu when ever its loaded. this will show you how to delete it. flash is not really needed now, and if you do need access to a site with flash then you can use chrome which has its own built in version of flash [ that gets updated with chrome ]

1 ) download the flash player uninstaller from here
2 ) double click the downloaded file. it will mount and open a finder window with an app inside it.
3 ) close your browsers
4 ) run the app. it will ask for your password.

flash is now uninstalled [except for in chrome]

for chrome you can totally disable flash by going to

about:plugins

and click disable on flash.

if you want a little more control while using flash, then install flashblock it will stop flash loading, but will allow you to load the flash objects if you choose.
