We got up early today for breakfast as we are spending the day in Sorrento and Pompeii – I had toast and a croissant and 2 coffees, Zoe had toast, scrambled egg and an almond cake thing and a coffee.

Sorrento and Pompeii

After breakfast went to the room and got our things for Sorrento and Pompeii. We walked along to the circumvesuvio train station and got a couple of return tickets. The train left at 10:37 and it was roasting! it took about 30 mins to travel between Sorrento and Pompeii – it was too hot for us really, so we grabbed some frozen water and headed in for some photos

After about an hour and a half we decided it was time to go, so we jumped on the train back to Sorrento – the trainback was much better – we even got a seat!

Back in Sorrento

We went to a cafe / bar on the square for lunch, I had a ham and cheese sandwich with some chips, Zoe had a sandwich with riccota cheese, egg, tuna and tomatoes with chips! I had a Mojito and Zoe had an alcohol free Mojito!

We went back to the hotel for another snoozerinio, Zoe had 4 hours – it was 18:20 when she woke!

We got ready for dinner and headed along to the pizzeria tasso (saw the reviews on trip advisor) I ordered a craft beer brewed in sorrento – made with local oranges – it was quite expensive (20 euro) but zoe isnt allowed wine, and its not as expensive as a bottle of wine, so I got it anyway. it was 3/4 of a litre, and it tasted awesome! I had a pizza (the best pizza Ive ever had, and was defeated with a quarter still left) Zoe had roast lion of suckling pig with cabbage speck and potato croquettes. This was the best meal we have had yet.

After dinner we headed back to the hotel via hopera (wee coffee place we visited on the second day) for a coffee and a cake

After that I rolled back to the hotel, too stuffed to move and with 4 hours of snoozerinios to catch up on.
