Gameboy Advance case shell change

I got a gameboy advance from ebay a few days ago – I didnt own one when they first came out, I did own an original gameboy dmg-001 and a gameboy colour when they came out (they are probably still in my mum’s loft) and had always fancied a gameboy advance, so I went for the AGB001. This post shows how I took the parts from my GBA and installed them into a reproduction case from ebay – the post is titled “Gameboy Advance case shell change” (I will eventually install a back-lit screen too)

I got a replacement shell in transparent blue/purple also from ebay, so decided to document the changing of the case

The first step was to remove the old case
and separate the motherbard and screen

Once all the parts are out, the buttons go in the new case, followed by the screen and motherboard

The next thing I have is a glass screen, and eventually a backlit screen to add!
